Communication: Using the Enneagram to Create Understanding

Understanding one another’s communication style creates compassion. Compassion fosters relationships of mutual trust, mutual respect, and mutual freedom of expression. If we want to be understood, and in turn to understand, we must practice the platinum rule:  Treat others the way they wish to be treated. By learning the communication styles of the other Types, suspending our own judgments, assumptions, and “story-telling” about what they say, the tone they use, and how they come across, we take nothing personally and cultivate genuine understanding that can deepen our relationships.

 PRESENTER: Sandy Hogan, Accredited Enneagram Professional, Professional Certified Coach, and Certified Integral Coach, is a co-founder of the Enneagram Enthusiasts, a vibrant and growing Enneagram study group. She has been studying the Enneagram in depth since 2002 and uses the wisdom inherent within it to support each of her clients. She also serves on the Arizona Enneagram Association board of directors and is committed to bringing the myriad gifts of the Enneagram to Life.
